Service Sales Representative

Full-Time

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell maintenance contracts and other services to meet the needs of the customer.

  • Responsible for prospecting of new customers.

  • Develop and acquire new customers in assigned territory utilizing scheduled appointments, cold calling, and professional quality sales presentations.

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with all current and potential customers to maximize opportunities for Powersmith.

  • Develop and present a sales forecast on a monthly basis.

  • Always ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty!

  • Complete Sales Department paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Obtain Sales Manager approval on all sales prior to presenting to client.

  • Develop and present a customer sales strategy for target accounts on a monthly and annual basis.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations.

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Excellent phone and customer service skills.

  • Bilingual in Spanish beneficial, but not required.

  • Knowledge of generator service business.

  • Knowledgeable of competitor/market trends and pricing.

  • Knowledge and practice in fundamentals of good salesmanship prospecting, telemarketing, preparing an effective sales presentation, use of sales aids, closing, etc.

  • Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software.

  • Meets annual goals and monthly sales goals established for department.

Service Technician

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and interprets equipment manuals, wiring diagrams and job orders to perform maintenance and service.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting with the ability to independently repair units.

  • Use a variety of hand/power tools and electrical test equipment in performing duties to detect faulty parts and submit repair quotes electronically

  • Adhere to all Federal, State, Local and Company policies. Practice and comply with all company safety procedures.

  • Ability to be part of an on-call team to assist with afterhours customers’ needs.

  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working on 10kW – 3,500kW generators.

  • Possess an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (as required by local jurisdiction) or have the ability to attain one.

  • Possess an NFPA 70E certification (as required by local jurisdiction) or have the ability to attain one.

  • Possess and maintain a current, valid state driver’s license.

  • Possess a current DOT medical card or have the ability to attain one as required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on call hours as required.

  • Must possess set of standard hand tools and meters to successfully do the job as required.

  • Ability to work in a productive manner in all types of weather conditions and environments.

  • Possess strong customer service focus with good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with general computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
